In June this year, Shirley Pool managing director, Luke Perry, will take part in a team endurance race on the Jurassic coast to raise money for this vital charity. ‘Race the Sun’ is a triathlon style, dawn to dusk off-road race, tackling the rugged coastline by bike, hike and kayak.
All funds raised will be donated to Action Medical Research; the leading UK charity dedicated to funding vital research to help sick and disabled babies, children, and young people. Action has been funding medical breakthroughs for 70 years now and has helped to beat polio, fight meningitis, prevent stillbirths, and develop ultrasound scanning in pregnancy.
