What’s a Crash Course?

The perfect way to bring their water confidence back and accelerate the learning curve. During the school holidays, the pool has limited spaces on a fast-track teaching program for all levels and abilities of school-age children. The highest standards of tuition in small classes are even more effective because the children retain the skills they have learned the previous day. Daily tuition gives ample time for one-to-one attention, explanation, demonstration and repetitive practice. The children enjoy the playtime at the end, finishing with a real treasure hunt.

The lesson plan follows the same theme as the regular weekly lessons but is condensed into a shorter period of time. So, for example, the diving progressions will begin within pool practices and progress daily through jumps and kneeling, to attempts at full dives.
The skills learnt are practiced through the week and on the last day the swimmers are tested over the length to see how far they can swim. As well as the badges that the children earn, they are presented with a commemorative certificate at the end of the week.
