Rhyseren Taylor (9) has been selected to represent Great Britain in the European Biathle Championships. The Southampton Dolphins Swimmer began her swimming as a toddler at Shirley Pool, quickly progressing through the stroke technique into the highest level of the swim school, Turtles, where she impressed in the Annual Club Championships, posting new age group records.
Selected for Dolphins, Rhyseren continued to progress and, adding swimming skills to her running talent, had a try at the run, swim, run event: Biathle.
The selection process was held at Millfield School, Somerset, where Rhyseren made the qualifying time and out stripped older girls to claim her place in the GB Team.
The squad travelled to Portugal in July 2016, where the swim section of the event took place in the Atlantic.
Individually, Rhyseren finished a commendable 7th and in the team event won Gold.
