Top swimmers from Shirley Pool entered the British Summer Championships and Swim
England Summer Nationals this summer at Ponds Forge Sheffield.
Kate’s medal haul from the English Championships
Max Nugent (16) won gold in the 100m Butterfly at the Nationals Championships while Kate Baxter (13) qualified for the British Championships and the England Nationals.
In the Butterfly final Max exploded from the blocks, destroying the field on the first 50 metres and held his form to smash his lifetime personal best, coming home first to take the gold and National title in 58.11 seconds.
