The most recent update that we have is that Grove Road resurfacing is now scheduled for May 2nd AND 3rd:
“The advance preparation works have been completed and the remaining works which is resurfacing of Grove Road will take place on the 2 and 3 May, weather permitting.
The work is day works so there will be no restrictions in the evenings. There will be no restrictions for pedestrians although we would advise approaching the centre from Shirley Road as the surfacing can be a bit of a messy process.”
Talking to the site workmen, they are planning to resurface Kentish Road as well.
Probably best to assume that the closest you can park will be York Road, Edward Rd or around Janson.
