The end of half term also means the end of our crash course, it’s been the busiest February we’ve ever seen and we just want to say thank you to everybody who attended and a huge well done to all of our swimmers. You can have a look at our One Mile Plus gallery here.
We saw plenty of 1k and one mile badges achieved this week, but our biggest badge was from Verity Telford (9), who managed to swim a whopping 4,000m in under two hours. That’s 160 lengths! Her brother Kia also managed a mile all on his own. Swimming must run in the family!
A special mention also has to go to Ruby Jones, from Jo’s beginners class, who swam an incredible thirty two lengths to achieve her 800 metre award, despite having never had swimming lessons outside of school before the crash course.
