Each school holiday the pool holds extra teaching sessions for most levels.They run daily in the afternoons, usually one hour of tuition and one hour of play. Huge improvements in the swimmer are possible and expected.
The teaching plan remains the same except that the eight week plan is squeezed into 4 or 5 day. Here is an example of a plan:
The main theme will remain the same, tailored to the needs of the individual. Swimmers may move up a level during the week.
Day 1. Tea Party and Jumps
Day 2. Penguin and stacked Dives. Inflatable at playtime.
Day 3. Line up Pike Dives.
Day 4. Water Skills testing. Inflatable at playtime.
Day 5. Distance testing. The swimmers have up to two hours to attempt long distance awards or timed swims.
Certificates of attendance are awarded for each swimmer.
