Pool Closure – from 6pm tonight

We apologise for any inconvenience caused but we are required to close the Pool today from 6 pm.

Our gas has been isolated due to a small leak outside the building which will result in the pools, showers, and heating to become very cold.

Anyone who has a lesson or attending Aqua or swimming tonight will be able to contact Reception at a future date to book in a make-up session.

Thank you

We’re still receiving our swimmer’s sponsorship monies so do not have a total yet but we are well into 3 figures!

Here are a few snapshots of some of our swimmers who participated.

STAmp-out VAT From ‘Learn to Swim’ Lessons

Listen to David Perry on Radio Solent this morning promoting STA’s campaign to remove VAT from swimming lessons.

https://www.sta.co.uk/news/2022/11/21/to-help-swim-schools-stay-afloat-sta-is-pushing-for-the-government-to-stamp-out-vat-from-learn-to-swim-lessons/

Help Us By Showing Your Support

In support of this, we would also urge all our members and swim school partners to email their local MP about why it is important to remove VAT on all swimming lessons. Ask your customers to help us as well by writing to their MP.

To help, we have created a template letter for you to download, which explains why removing a ‘consumption tax’ on swimming lessons – lessons that teach an essential key life skill and that could potentially save someone’s life – would yield significant benefits for the millions of people wanting to learn how to swim and also secure the future of swim school businesses, reduce waiting lists and create employment opportunities.

Beverly Chapman and Chris Walker
