Daniel Colmer aged 5 years attended one of the Summer Crash Courses at Shirley Swimming Pool. Before this he had only ever swam a total of eight lengths. At the end of the crash course he was given the opportunity to swim a distance of which he achieved one mile. He wanted to stop on odd occasions but Chris persuaded him to carry on (well done Chris) so it just goes to show what that extra effort can achieve.
