Shirley Pool Newsletter January 2007 |
Christmas Refurbishment Major changes to the plant room and a new liner for the main pool took place at Xmas. This is the first stage of our planned redevelopment of the site. The new Ultra Violet system in the main pool has proved to be a great success, the pool is sparkling. This is the first pool in the City to utilize this revolutionary technology and it means that the level of chlorine used in the pool is minimized. Extra filters, larger pumps and wider pipes also increase the flow of water through the cleansing system. The existing pool liner has been removed and a new glass fibre lining added, giving us new lane lines and a shiny surface. The footbaths have been relined as well. The men's changing room has new benches and clothes hooks. Making Up Lessons Thank you for your patience trying to get lessons that have been missed over the shutdown fitted in.
